How to dispose of my Mushroom Growing Kit?

The contents of most our mushroom growing kits are suitable for home composting, whether than be compost heaps, bins or even scattering across flowerbeds for added nutrition. It is good practice to ensure this is well mulched up to aid in the organic material being broken down.

The exception is Yellow Oyster, where the compost should not find it's way into the environment, we recommend drying the compost out, then to bag and seal it and dispose in landfill, rather than food or garden waste bins.

The product boxes are marked as which can be recycled, all the plastic liner bags should be put into landfill, we cannot use bio degradable liners due to the nature of the compost which would break down the liner prematurely.
